When
Lewis and Carol McHenry decided to move The Jennivine from its long-time
location in an historic home on McKinney Avenue, they knew just what
they wanted -- something to maintain the ambiance, charm and coziness
that The Jennivine had been famous for. A new name was also in order
and coupled with finding the perfect location in the State-Thomas
Historic District, Rosebud Wine Bistro was born. The perfect location?
An old converted Masonic Lodge at the corner of Boll and Guillot,
just minutes from the central business district, the arts district,
the Tollway and Central Expressway.
Former patrons of The Jennivine will be happy to hear that the name
and location are about all that's changed. The menus remain the same,
as does much of the staff, including chef Pierre Monticolo mbi. And
for the ladies who have made a tradition of Afternoon Tea, the wonderful
collection of antique tea hats is now at Rosebud.
The
new dining room is both cozy and spacious, separated into several
areas that are perfect for private parties. Rosebud Wine Bistro is
also the perfect setting for any of your special events, including
Business Luncheons, Rehearsal Dinners, Birthday Parties and Bridal
Parties. Visit the Catering Page for links
to the group menus to help you plan your events.
Chef Pierre changes the blackboard menu daily with specialties in
Continental Cuisine. You are sure to find an outstanding dish of Pasta,
Seafood Meats or Wild Game.
